2015 Innovation Statement
This is one of the more substantial government announcement for some extended time. I have collated the various sources and comments as of this morning (7/12/2015). Here are the links to the various ways the government announced the Innovation Package.

The impact of the additional funding to Innovation and the tax aspects and planning opportunities will emerge as the Mid Year Financial Outlook (MYEFO) (see separate page) and the May budget in 2016. Right now it is important to be aware of the breadth of the potential areas the statement may affect and consequential economic changes.
As of Tuesday 8/12/2015 there is no comprehensive technical explanation of the package so I can play out the effect or at least summarise them from a complete source to provide some deeper analysis. The Innovation site has media and 'simple' explanations: http://www.innovation.gov.au/
